What is Hearts of Ireland?

We are licensed as a Nurse Referral Service Agency by the state of Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH) Office of Health Care Quality and provide Nurse Referral services to clients seeking home care, hospital and assisted living private duty (PVD) services. 

What is a Nurse Referral Service Agency?

Also known as NRSA, Nurse Referral Service Agencies is an agency that screens and refers licensed nurses and C/GNAs for individuals needing help in their home. The person seeking assistance contracts directly with the individual who will provide service and pays the agency and the provider for services.

What can I expect if I'm interested in starting services?

We offer an initial and 60 day complimentary RN assessment and is HIGHLY recommended before starting services. During the visit, the nurse will answer any questions you may have, go over all options with you and your family, and develop a plan of care based on the the care recipients needs. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for our client's!

 General Information

All applicants complete a thorough screening process prior to placement on our registry and referral to our client's. Screening includes but is not limited to comprehensive criminal background checks, drug screen, physical examination, tuberculosis screening, and license, reference and employment history verification. 


In addition, we require providers to maintain, at a minimum, the following:
